Recently, I found out the terribly disgusting news that in many of these South Asian cases, the registry has found matches but the "donor" has declined to actually go through with the procedure... these people don't need to be toyed with and given false hope!!! I'm not in the medical field so I couldn't tell you what it would be like to go through with the procedure - but I will tell you that you have the opportunity to save a life and that is a great act of humanity.
