irali’s favorite beauty expert, celebrity makeup artist Shalini Vadhera, is back and making another big splash on the beauty scene. This year, she launched Global Goddess Beauty—a line of beauty products inspired by Shalini’s own jaunts around the globe. The collection, which debuted on QVC nationwide, is poised for success: It’s now available in Sephora stores and Sephora online. This fall, you will even find it in Nordstrom stores around the country. And look for even more offerings from this beauty queen—Global Goddess is unrolling a series of exciting new products later this year. Find them at Nirali first! We’ll be bringing you Shalini’s products and tips in a three-month series.

And since writing a book and unveiling her own product line doesn’t keep Ms. Vadhera busy enough, she’s decided to conquer the media world, as well. She’s just been named the host of NBC’s new makeover show, About Face, and will soon start as the official beauty expert for iVillage.com. Of course, Nirali got her first—so she was happy to give us the scoop on some of her Global Goddess faves:

Shine Coconut Amla Revitalizing Hair Treatment, $45

Trade Secret: Our “foremothers” have been using coconut oil on the subcontinent for centuries to get gorgeous shiny locks. Global Goddess combines the powerful fatty acids of coconut oil with amla extract, natural henna, avocado oil and tiny grapeseeds to give you an all-in-one treatment that prevents free radical damage, quenches dryness and nourishes the scalp.
Shalini’s Tip: Apply this with the pads of your fingers directly onto your scalp, and give yourslef a good massage. Leave it on for at least 30 minutes before washing. It’s also great for your cuticles and makes your skin glow—so rub some on your body, too.

Upgrade Complexion Face Primer, $35

Trade Secret: Russian licorice boosts microcirculation and brightens skin tone, priming the skin to create a radiant, even canvas. The pearlescent pigments and natural light reflective act as optical smoothers for fine lines, creating a youthful glow.
Shalini’s Tip: Apply this over your moisturizer and under your makeup for an extra flawless look. The primer reflects light, distracting from skin imperfections—even on days you’re not wearing any make-up.

Complexion Perfection Duo, $40

Trade Secret: African illippe butter and Tahitian monoi oil are used to nourish and soften skin, and this foundation comes with both. The Indian neem also soothes and smoothes the skin for a perfect finish. The concealer contains soothing chamomile, nourishing rose carnina fruit extract, and tightening lemongrass, a natural astringent.
Shalini’s Tip: It might seem counterintuitive, but apply the foundation first—just use your fingertips (you can control the amount of coverage easily). Then use a concealer brush to apply the concealer under the eye area or wherever you need extra coverage. Looking for the perfect color? Shalini says 2.5 is the one most South Asian women should wear.

Goddess Glow South Pacific Shimmer, $32

Trade Secret: A true goddess exudes a natural radiant glow, and now you don’t have to be in the sun to achieve that look. The stunning compact contains four universally appealing shades that can help everyone get that sun-kissed look.
Shalini’s Tip: This is one of the most versatile Global Goddess products! Use it as a bronzer, blush, or even blend the colors to create your own unique eye shadow.

Moroccan Mystyque Lip Veils, $15

Trade Secret: Nothing says exotic like Morocco. Wear the Desert Jewel color during the day for its bonus SPF 15 protection, while the others are perfect for nighttime wear.
Shalini’s Tip: Cardamom is a great gloss color for fall, and it works on every skin type. It even makes the best blush color! Just dab a tiny bit on the apples of the cheeks, smile and blend. Sandstorm is perfect to use over other colors, giving your lips instant sex appeal.

Jet Setter Mini Tool Case, $45

Trade Secret: You can’t work without your tools, and this compact carrier made of elegant sari material has everything you need.
Shalini’s Tip: The lip brush doubles as a concealer blush–and use the crease eyeshadow blush to create depth for flirtatious eyes.
