Man Missing in Yosemite

Kiran Yellajyosula, a 27-year-old computer scientist based in northern California, has been missing since Saturday.

Yellajyosula, an IIT and West Virginia University grad was hiking with three friends through Yosemite National Park over the weekend when, according to reports, he slid off the Vernal Falls footbridge and into the Merced River rapids.

The search continues, but no body has been found as yet.

Yellajyosula had been pursuing a Ph.D. part-time through the University of Minnesota’s Computer Science department, while working for the Bay Area company NVIDIA.
